Song For San Pedro Premier and Networking Mixer
Grand Vision Foundation produced a song and a music video for the very first time! “San Pedro Strong” is dedicated to the small town of San Pedro, the city by the sea - that is also a section of the city of Los Angeles. It’s a music video composed, arranged and sung by residents of San Pedro. It brings together the beauty of San Pedro, the challenges of the pandemic and the voices of 16 singers, both amateur and professionals, of all ages, who sang the song individually at their homes. Join Grand Vision, and some of the talented people behind the song on Friday, March 5, 2021 to view the music video premiere on Zoom.Click the "Tickets" button above to RSVP to reserve a spot on the Zoom event. All RSVPs will be entered into a raffle to win a $50 gift card to the Grand Annex, redeemable for all Grand Annex and Grand Vision events. Winner will be chosen before the Q&A following the music video premiere.Originally written by Ken Creighton as a love song to his wife and their home in San Pedro, Creighton got together with Grand Vision to write “San Pedro Strong” as a way to uplift our neighbor’s spirits during the pandemic. Then, with the help of Windy Barnes Farrell on arrangement and the talented voices of local singers, a song for San Pedro came to life.Participating singers include: Windy Barnes Farrell, Chad Bishop, Dustin Case, Ken Creighton, Nikholle Galarpe, Michelle Idell, Timothy Johnson, Jenna Nakadate, Marc Nimoy, Patti Orbeck, Serita Richardson, Sue Schmidt, Taylor Sorensen, Susan Tucker, Mae Weston, Erin Wood. Before the music video premiere, audience members will have a chance to hear from everyone involved about the process and meaning behind the song. There will also be a live Q&A and networking to follow.Date and Time
