Are you passionate about tourism and local business? Get involved in a Chamber Committee.
Standing and special committees are composed of members of the Chamber. They are established by and report to the Board of Directors. Their purpose is to assist with chamber business and projects, and to make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding such business and projects. The committees are chaired or co-chaired by at least one member of the Board of Directors. Non-members may serve on committees at the discretion of the Committee chair.

Economic Development & Policy: Meets monthly on the second Tuesday at 8:00 am. Focuses on shaping the Chamber's legislative platform, evaluating local, state, and federal legislation, and reviewing economic development projects. Provides recommendations to project developers and the San Pedro Chamber Board of Directors. Chaired by Jade Clemons, AltaSea at the Port of Los Angeles, and Amanda Enriquez, Greater LA Scouting. For committee reviews or more information, email Elise Swanson at eswanson@sanpedrochamber.com.Events and Marketing Committee: Meets on the 4th Monday at 3:30 pm to organize events supporting our membership and community engagement. Previously hosted the State of the County, State of the District, Women's History Month Reception, Annual Luncheon and Business Awards, networking mixers, and educational programs. Chaired by John Bagakis of Big Nick's Pizza, convenes as needed. Oversees the annual Spirit of Holidays Parade, held on the first Sunday of December from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in downtown San Pedro, attracting more than 9,000 attendees. Addresses pressing issues communicated to Chamber leadership, including crime prevention, homelessness, and healthcare. Chaired by Linda Grimes, San Pedro Waterfront Arts District, Lauren Johnson, West Harbor, and Jerico Development. Email eswanson@sanpedrochamber.com for more details.The Non-Profit Collaborative: The collaborative is a quarterly event bringing together the leadership of our nonprofit to discuss best practices in the areas of fundraising, communication, and human resources. It also provides a networking opportunity. Our focus is on bringing value to our membership, enabling them to thrive and prosper within our community. The San Pedro Chamber Ambassadors assist the Board of Directors and staff in welcoming new members and providing event support. The Membership Committee is scheduled to meet every 1st Friday at 10:00 am. The committee is chaired by Bruce Heyman, Los Angeles Maritime Institute & Andrea Lastimosa, Malaga Bank.
