Event Description:
The Customer Sercice and Sales curriculum is designed to help beginning sales and service associates learn skills related to frontline work in retail, or an industry that values customer service skills. The curriculum will be taught throughout 10 days and 40 hours. Feb. 11,12,15, 19, 20, 22, 25, 26, March 1 and 4.  9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Individuals taking this course will learn:
  • Products and services
  • Assessing and meeting customer needs
  • Preparing for selling, gaining customer commitment and closing the sale
  • The basics of store operations and inventory control
  • The process of merchandizing
  • The imprtance of common employability skills
  • Crafting a polished resume
Adults between 17 and 24 years of age, not currently enrolled in school, are eligible to apply. Financial assistance is available from Pacific Gateway. Upon successful completion of course work (between  and an online assessment, participatns will recieve a credential and a Sales internship with pay at  a local business!
