Mission Statement
The mission of the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce is to promote, support and advocate the interests of the business community by actively working to develop a vital and sustainable local economy that enhances the social and environmental resources of the community.
 

Organization
The chamber is a non-profit 501 (c)(6) mutual benefit corporation chartered under the State of California on March 15, 1957 (charter number 335184) and originally chartered as the Chamber of Commerce of San Pedro on February 21, 1906 (charter number 45424).

According to its Bylaws, government of the Chamber of Commerce, direction of its work, the control of its finances and property and the control and direction of its President/CEO is vested in a Board of Directors. The President/CEO oversees day-to-day operations and all Chamber staff.

Teen Conference 2008

Committees
Standing and special committees composed of members of the Chamber. They are established by and report to the Board of Directors. Their purpose is to assist with chamber business and projects, and to make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding such business and projects. The committees are chaired or co-chaired by at least one member of the Board of Directors. Non-members may serve on committees at the discretion of the Committee chair.

Ambassadors
The Ambassadors is a newly formed and evolving volunteer group. It is co-chaired by Pat Carroll and Chamber Board Member, Carol Mizrahi. The goal of the Ambassadors is to carry the Chamber's mission and activities directly to its members through personal contact. The Ambassadors work closely with the Chamber's Membership Committee.
