The mission of the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce is to promote, support and advocate the interests of the business community by actively working to develop a vital and sustainable local economy that enhances the social and environmental resources of the community.
Organization The chamber is a non-profit 501 (c)(6) mutual benefit corporation chartered under the State of California on March 15, 1957 (charter number 335184) and originally chartered as the Chamber of Commerce of San Pedro on February 21, 1906 (charter number 45424).
According to its Bylaws, government of the Chamber of Commerce, direction of its work, the control of its finances and property and the control and direction of its President/CEO is vested in a Board of Directors. The President/CEO oversees day-to-day operations and all Chamber staff.
