This Naturalist led nature walk includes a visit through the Tongva Native Plant Demonstration Garden, where you will learn how early inhabitants of the peninsula used these plants in a variety of purposes for thousands of years. Then walk the trails through beautifully restored coastal sage scrub habitat. Stop at a former gun emplacement to learn about the military history of the area. The walk concludes with a visit to the Nature Education Center with multi-media activities for all ages. This is a moderate walk. Free. 1600 W. Paseo del Mar, San Pedro, 90731.
