Each attendee is asked to provide a one minute business "infomercial." The networking series is being led by Ryan Blaney of Bolimini International and Nick Warnock of Nick Warnock Insurance Agency.\n\n\n\nCome as your schedule permits 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month @ 8:00 am.\n\n\n\nThis weeks guest speaker:\n\nAssemblymember Patrick O'Donnell\, Voice of the Ports and Chair of Education\n\n \n\nFirst elected to the California State Assembly in November 2014\, Assemblymember Patrick O'Donnell represents the 70th District\, which includes Long Beach\, San Pedro\, Signal Hill and Catalina Island.\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nAssemblymember O'Donnell brings over twenty years of classroom experience as a teacher to his role as Chair of the Assembly Education Committee. As Chair\, Assemblymember O'Donnell has increased funding for schools\, including creative arts and special education programs\; expanded investments for preschools and K-12 school facilities\; more slots for California residents at the UC and CSU systems\; and led the charge to create safe learning environments for LGBTQ students. Assemblymember O'Donnell is an ardent supporter for reinstituting career technical/vocational training\, securing millions of dollars in 2017 and 2018 to ensure students have options for careers after high school.\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nRepresenting the two busiest ports in the nation\, the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles\, Assemblymember O'Donnell is an expert on the complex challenges and opportunities faced by the freight sector\, supply chain and logistics industries. He has secured millions of cap-and-trade dollars for clean air efforts in and around Ports while also protecting good-paying jobs and leading efforts to grow the maritime industry as Chair of the Assembly Select Committee on Ports and Goods Movement.\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nPrior to being elected to the State Assembly\, Assemblymember O'Donnell served as a Long Beach City Council member. Born in Long Beach\, Assemblymember O'Donnell graduated from California State University\, Long Beach with a degree in History and a Master's Degree in Public Administration. He lives in the Los Altos neighborhood with his wife and their two daughters.\n\n\n\n\n\nAttendees just pay for the breakfast buffet ($15 includes tax).\n\n\n\nPlease RSVP by Thursday 11 am to Laura@sanpedrochamber.com so we have a headcount for the restaurant.
