Harold Greene – (https://haroldgreenefinefurnishings.com/) is a custom furniture artisan that specializes in truly memorable furniture designs. Since 1978, Harold has been handcrafting successful works of functional art that people just need to own. His work is meant to be seen and has been featured nationally in galleries, museums and television. It’s a very personal art form inspired by the narrative of the wood. Trees have a story to tell through time, place, culture and provenance. Each bespoke piece of furniture tells its own personal story through the character of its wood, form, and function. Whether private collections or public works of art, each distinct design lives on to tell a story.
Joselyn & Don explore the crossroads of modern folk and soul through evocative songs planted firmly in American roots. Their debut album “Soar”, released in late 2020, takes the listener on an emotional journey through innocence lost to wisdom, and dreams deferred for something better. Joselyn’s soulful voice recalls both Laura Nyro’s soaring tones and Emmylou Harris country folk, while Don’s guitars play duet partner, at turns embodying outlaw twang, plaintive blues, and muscular rock.
Joselyn Wilkinson is the founder of women’s global fusion band, ADAAWE, a festival favorite, who has toured the U.S. numerous times. She previously released two albums of original music. Don Barrozo, a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer, also serves as film editor for long-running animated series, “The Simpsons.”
Joselyn & Don’s intimate live arrangements feature fingerpicked guitar, tenor ukulele and percussion, allowing Joselyn's voice to shine through with strength and vulnerability. They connect with audiences with their warm and engaging show and have opened for artists including Willie Watson and the Living Sisters. During the pandemic, they pivoted to live-streaming shows from their home Garden Studio, building community and supporting social and environmental efforts close to their hearts.
Virginia Broersma’s (https://www.virginiabroersma.com/) work has been exhibited at museums, galleries and alternative spaces in Los Angeles, Berlin, Tokyo, New York, and Chicago among other US and international cities. Recent projects have been shown at the Wagnall Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum of Latin American Art, The New Museum, Los Gatos, The Lodge Gallery and the Laband Gallery at Loyola Marymount University.
Broersma has been the recipient of several grants including funding from the Arts Council of Long Beach, the California Institute of Contemporary Arts, the Puffin Foundation, and the City of Chicago. In 2019, she completed a large public mural project with the San Pedro Waterfront Arts District. From 2019-2020, Broersma wrote a column for the Long Beach Post's Art and Culture site and has written essays for several exhibition catalogs and published numerous studio visit interviews with artists.
In addition to her studio practice, she currently operates The Artist's Office, through which she creates systems of support for artists' professional practices. Broersma lives in Long Beach, CA and her studio is located in the Fashion District of downtown Los Angeles, CA.FirstThursday ArtWalk TourDate and Time
