The San Pedro Waterfront Arts District, in collaboration with FilmLA is again presenting the Disney film COCO to kick of San Pedro’s Día de los Muertos celebration.
The October 27th, 2019 screening of Coco at the historic Warner Grand Theatre is generously sponsored by FilmLA (www.filmla.com) and brought to you by the San Pedro Waterfront Arts District. Coco is a computer-animated fantasy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. Inspired by the Mexican Day of the Dead holiday, the story follows a 12-year-old boy named Miguel who is accidentally transported to the Land of the Dead, where he seeks the help of his deceased musician great-great-grandfather to return him to his family among the living. The film won two Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song ("Remember Me").
