She holds a BA in Music Education from the University of Redlands and a Master of Arts in Organizational Management. As the Executive Director at Angels Gate Cultural Center\, Amy works with various partners to provide high quality arts classes and experiences for all ages. Her arts career has taken her to the Kennedy Center in Washington DC\, the Music Center in Los Angeles\, and she spent many years cultivating her arts leadership skills at Idyllwild Arts for both the summer academy and boarding school. Amy is the Chair of the Human Relations Commission for the City of Long Beach where she works with twelve commissioners to inspire and support social justice and equity in the City of Long Beach and foster mutual understanding and respect for all. She also works as a cultural partner with the Los Angeles County Arts Ed Collective.
