SUMMARY:San Pedro Chamber Women's History Month Celebration!
DESCRIPTION:In March\, the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce will be celebrating Women's History Month honoring women who have made significant contributions to our community. We have an amazing group of honorees who will be recognized on Thursday\, March 14\, 2024 at the Dalmatian American Club at 5:30 pm.  The event includes a buffet dinner. We would like to truly thank Marathon Petroleum for being our title sponsor of the event.\n\nWhy in March and how did the tradition start? In the United States\, Women's History Month traces its beginnings back to 1911\, to the First International Women's Day. In 1980\, President Carter\, issued a proclamation creating an official Women's History Week and in 1987\, recognizing the outstanding contributions of women to our nation's history\, Congress established March as the official Women's History Month. Each year\, the President of the United States issues the official annual proclamation proclaiming March as National Women's History Month. The San Pedro Chamber looks forward each year to joining in the celebration. \n\nParking: Parking is available is CRAFTED at the Port of Los Angeles located at 112 E. 22nd Street\, and the Red Trolley will take you up to the Dalmatian American Club.  The Trolley will run continuously from 4:45 pm to 9:00 pm.
