DESCRIPTION:The Nonprofit Collaborative is a program of The San Pedro Chamber of Commerce designed to support the vibrant nonprofit community in San Pedro and our more than 100 nonprofit members.  \n\n\n\nBurnout has long been a distinguishing characteristic of the nonprofit sector   but never more so than during the past two years. Beyond damaging your organization's bottom line and quality of service delivery\, burnout has very real impacts on staff turnover\, equity\, and morale.\n\n \nJoin us for facilitated networking led by Amber Sheikh and share your organizations events and programs.  Come find inspiration from other organizations about how best to support your staff   and yourself. \n\n\n\nMeet the Facilitator:\n\nAmber Sheikh\, CFRE \n\n\n\nAmber Sheikh is the chief impact officer and owner at Sheikh/Impact (formerly Thurlow/Associates)\, where she and her incredible team work to raise the capacity of organizations solving the toughest issues facing California communities   focusing on fundraising\, external relations and organizational development. Amber's specific areas of expertise include capital campaigns\, individual fundraising\, constituent/donor relations\, strategic planning and executive/board development. A proud native Angeleno and first generation American\, Amber is motivated by helping nonprofit organizations maximize their positive impact on our communities. \n\nAmber Sheikh is the chief impact officer and owner at Sheikh/Impact (formerly Thurlow/Associates)\, where she and her incredible team work to raise the capacity of organizations solving the toughest issues facing California communities   focusing on fundraising\, external relations and organizational development. Amber's specific areas of expertise include capital campaigns\, individual fundraising\, constituent/donor relations\, strategic planning and executive/board development. \n\n\n\n\nMeet the Speaker:  Gabrielle Kaufman - MA\, LPCC\, BC-DMT\, NCC\n\n\n\n\n\nGabrielle Kaufman is a dance/movement therapist and licensed professional clinical counselor with over 20 years experience in the helping profession. Currently\, she is director of Training and Technical Assistance for the Los Angeles County Perinatal Mental Health Task Force. Prior to this\, she served as director of the New Moms Connect Program of Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles providing services to new parents\, particularly those suffering from symptoms of postpartum depression. Ms. Kaufman has worked extensively with new families and aided in providing solutions to many parenting concerns. She has run several programs for high-risk children and teens\, taught classes to parents of newborns and toddlers\, and runs support groups for single parents and women with postpartum depression. Ms. Kaufman has spoken widely\, published articles on parenting\, and served as editor for Bringing Light to Motherhood. She serves as Los Angeles coordinator for Postpartum Support International also has a private practice in Los Angeles providing services in both English and Spanish languages.
