DESCRIPTION:EcoFest is a festival that celebrates Sustainable Living practices & Environmental Awareness. This FREE event is for all ages to learn ways to be better stewards of the Earth.\n\n\n\nEcoFest will feature live entertainment by Long Beach Unplugged\, a free shade tree giveaway\, a workshop & demonstration on rain-water harvesting with rain barrels\, face painting\, bug and animal discoveries\, crafts\, games\,\n\nwildflower seed balls\, chalk drawing. Bring a picnic\, there are beautiful views of the harbor and Catalina Island.\n\n\n\nEcoFest is a similarly themed event to Earth Day\, however\, aimed for the fall season - promoting conservation of our resources\, tree planting\, garden preparation and rain water harvesting\, having fun as we discover of all the creatures that live in our city "Urban Forest" community.\n\n\n\nThis event is produced by the Deane Dana Friendship Park & Nature Center and the Northwest San Pedro Neighborhood Council.
