The San Pedro Chamber of Commerce was instrumental in the development of
and continues to provide support for the following Partnership Programs:
San Pedro Historic Waterfront Business Improvement District (PBID) A coalition of property and business owners and members of the community formed the Historic Waterfront District (San Pedro) Property Business Improvement District in order to provide improvements and services that revitalize and enhance the historic downtown San Pedro area, an essential commercial core of the City of Los Angeles.
The PBID meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 9:00 am at San Pedro City Hall, 638 S. Beacon St. Room 462. San Pedro Arts Culture Entertainment District (SP ACE) SP ACE is a subcommittee of the Los Angeles Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA-LA) in association with the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce. With the support of Councilwoman Janice Hahn, SP ACE was formed to create a downtown district that would sustain and promote both the cultural and economic vitality of the community. PORT TECH LOS ANGELES
Port Tech Los Angeles is a non-profit technology center and business incubator founded and operated by a public/private partnership consisting of the San Pedro Chamber, Wilmington Chamber and the Port of Los Angeles. The mission is to identify, attract, support and/or incubate companies with technologies that will enable the maritime industry to meet environmental, energy, transportation and security goals. A technology-based economic development project, initiated by the San Pedro Chamber, Port Tech is designed to produce deliverable products for local and worldwide markets and create thousands of new jobs for local communities.
