In the small Michigan town of Escanaba, Reuben Soady has the infamous reputation of being the oldest Soady in family history never to bag a buck. Reuben is determined to change his luck. "...a hoot-and-a-half, and that's putting it mildly." -- STAGE HAPPENINGS the prequel to Escanaba in Da Moonlight, we find young Albert Soady, Jr. on his final hunt before shipping out to be a sharpshooter for Uncle Sam in World War II. Albert's out to bag a buck, but when Big Betty Balou shows up at the Soady deer camp in Escanaba, Michigan, Albert's the one in the crosshairs.
