The park has a gentle waterfall, a meandering stream ,and ponds that are home to wild ducks and geese. Dramatic hills with lush greenery and a gazebo set on a hill top offer a spectatular views of the city and harbor below. Averill Park is the site for many weddings. It's not unusual to see brides and grooms posing next to the gazebo for photographs. Bring your walking shoes and a picnic lunch, and make an afternoon of it!

- Saturday: Dawn to Dusk
- Sunday: Dawn to Dusk
